Additional Visitor Details
Accessibility at the Market
The Moss Street Market site and washroom facilities are wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Cash at the Market
Some vendors accept credit card or debit but most do not. Cash is always the best bet. We have ATM at the market, located behind the Information Tent. Across the road, the Fairfield Market (at Fairfield and Moss) also offers cash back up to $40 on purchases.
Dogs at the Market
We love dogs, but for the comfort and safety of everyone we require that all dogs, big and small, remain outside of the school yard fence (guide and service dogs excepted).
We offer a free art and crafting experience for our younger visitors each market day. The Kid’s Tent features nature and eco-based crafts run by Market Staff with children & visual arts experience. All children and their families and caregivers are welcome. Donations are gratefully received.
Coffee at the Market
We are proud to offer fair-trade, regionally roasted Level Ground Coffee at the market’s Coffee Tent. You can buy your coffee in a compostable paper cup or better yet bring your own mug and save!
Waste at the Market
In the spirit of sustainability and eco-mindedness, many of our vendors do not offer plastic bags to customers (and many more are moving to no disposables at their booth at all). At the end of each market day, our market staff sort through the bins to separate the compostables, recyclables and disposable waste. It’s a big job that has a significant impact. Market visitors can help by putting waste into the proper containers, and by taking recyclables and disposables home – or avoiding them in the first place.
Please remember to bring your own reusable bags or baskets on market day.
Questions while at the Market?
Market staff and volunteers take care of the market Info Tent – a great place to ask questions, find vendors, offer feedback and affirmations, pick up flyers and information on coming community events, donate to the maket, receive a friendly hello, or just get directions to the washrooms.
Washrooms are located in the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association building.
