Our Staff are a diverse group of people who are passionate about community and sustainability. They welcome everyone to the Market and make sure all bases are covered every Market Day. From the operational oversight of the Market, to providing a creative art area for children, to brewing and serving coffee, to keeping our washrooms clean and accessible, to recruiting and supporting volunteers – and more – our Staff team is committed to making each Market day enjoyable and successful for our vendors, visitors and neighbours alike!

My second season managing Moss Sreet Market, I love being part of this vibrant farmers market I have long appreciated as an attendee. I am passionate about local organic food and love the abundance of great farm fresh produce found at Moss Street Market. Farmers markets are so great because of the “make it, bake it, grow it” requirement. What a wonderful sense of connection and community it is to be able to speak to the more than 25 farmers that vend at Moss Street Market and learn about their products and methods. I enjoy all the great things there is to do and buy at the market — Great food, beautiful crafts and clothing, coffee, and awesome musicians.~ Kyle

When I moved to Victoria, I checked out several markets and liked Moss Street best. I volunteered for two seasons, then happily joined the staff last year. As a former small organic farmer, it feels great to be able to support local farmers. I admire the quality of the crafts and now have several of those products at home to appreciate. I want the customers to feel the same as I do about the market – valuable, quality goods, inviting and great fun. I love Saturdays. ~Patty

I am very excited to be a part of the Moss Street Market experience. 2013 will be my second season with the market and I look forward to meeting all the new people and getting to know the community better. I have been a fully licenced Early Childhood Educator (ECE) for over two years now and I believe my background will help me make the childrens’ experience at the market Knowledgeable and fun. As the Childrens’ Craft Tent Coordinator my plan is to create activities that will allow your children to freely express themselves and make something that reflects their time at the market. I believe in being locally sustainable and the importance of teaching these values to children in a entertaining and creative way. ~ Normagene

Moss Street Market is my favorite market in Victoria. Local baked goods, sweets, produce, crafts, music and kid’s activities -this market has something for everyone! While volunteering at the market last year I was able to meet many lovely people and the fabulous venders that bring their goods week in and week out. Now I’m pleased to be a part of such a wonderful market as staff this season. Come visit us with your own mug and get fresh organic coffee! You’ll find something special. ~Akiko

My first encounter with the Moss Street Market was during the summer before I moved to Victoria. There could not have been a better introduction to the strong sense of community, sustainable city building and sheer fun that I associate with Victoria. I have had the honour of working at the Market for two seasons now, first as a volunteer and then as an employee, and feel privileged to get to work with such amazing vendors and staff on a weekly basis. ~Vincent
