With our old growth rainforests, Garry Oak and alpine meadows, mountains, marshes, beaches, oceans, rivers and lakes Vancouver Island has one of the world’s most distinct ecosystems. All this diversity of habitat gives birth to a great diversity of life. On the Island we can find an abundance of native flora, a plethora of which are edible, medicinal or technologically useful.
12pm-2pm: Native plant workshop with Lewis JB Williams of the Tsawout First Nation.
10am-2pm: Scavenger Hunt and other fun children’s activities!
Many local non-profits that are dedicated to restoring native ecosystems and promoting native plant gardening will also be attending. Look forward to seeing you there!

Bike to the market this Saturday and you could win a $60 gift certificate for a tune-up at the Fairfield Bicycle Shop. Happy cycling!
