The 2008 season of the Moss st Market will begin with two half Markets (10-noon) on April 19th and 26th and our full season begins on May 3, 2008. We will once again, run every Saturday, rain or shine, from 10sm-2pm at the Sir James Douglas Schoolgrounds located at the corner of Moss and Fairfield in Victoria, BC. See you soon!

In order to sell your wares at the Moss st Market, you must be reviewed. The pre-market reviews for crafts, food and services will be taking place at the half-markets, Saturday April 19 and April 26, from 10-12, at the market site. Please bring a few samples of your work, and check the policy manual on this site and the appropriate page for your product for more information about vendor requiremetnts. Please note that you will not be able to sell on the day you come to be reviewed. Review status, by the way, expires after one month--if you do not make it to the market as a vendor within one month from the time of your review, you will need to be re-reviewed.

In addition to providing space for product vendors, Moss Street Market also sets aside some room for services and for nonprofit organizations. See our new Services and Nonprofit page for more intormation.

Vancouver Island is host to many wonderful and vibrant community markets. Here is a list and contact information for many of them: VI Markets.

Want to recycle more of your household trash? Pacific Mobile Recycling is a great supplement to the Blue Box program. Please check out their website for lists of what they take (you will be surprised!), suggested donations and where drop-offs are located.

The Moss Street Market turned 15 in 2006. We had a wonderful celebration of our fifteen years of service on September 16th. Here are some images and articles from the day.

In 2006 we also said a sad farewell to our resident beekeeper, John A. MacDonald. John died November 7, 2006. His trademark black hat and welcoming smile, his HUGE knowledge and obvious love for bees, will be greatly missed at the market.

Check out the recipes supplied by some of our Moss Streeters.
